Genevieve (Miss Gen.)
"Music is the container for the times of our lives." - Karl Paunack
There's that certain song that you hear on the radio that can bring you right back to a time - a time of joy, youth, sadness or excitement. You remember exactly where you were, what you were doing and how you were feeling. That's why I am so drawn to music. It all started with my parents, grandparents and Aunts. We were always singing at our family meals, at bedtime and in church. Some of us singing better than others, that didn't matter; it was the family bond we created that was so special and I now have the opportunity to extend that joy with my family. I have carried that through my life and currently (for the past 28 years) am the Director of Music Together classes - helping build musical families and bringing the joy of Live music back into the family. Technology does have it's place in music, but there is nothing more emotionally bonding than a live musical, theatrical or artistic experience and you too, have the ability to experience it along to your friends and family members when you attend a concert or performance.
"Miss Gen" is the Director of Merry Musicians and was trained at CMYC in Princeton in 1994 and has helped over sixty seven hundred families become more musical. What keeps her going is the joy she is able to bring to all the children whose lives she touches. She has taught parent child class, MT In School (in French & English) classes, babies classes, Big Kids and now Rhythm Kids classes too. She plays the piano, (and the autoharp, in class). She is very happily married and has two grown children, Danielle and Martin , a son-in-law and an adorable granddaughter.
